OUR LOVE STORY
Where It All Began
Mais and Suzanna first met while volunteering at a children’s camp in the beautiful mountains of Kyrgyzstan. Suzanna was visiting a family friend, and Mais had traveled from Kazakhstan with a group of friends. Both were so focused on serving the many needs of the children around them that they hardly had time to notice each other.
Yet, after some time they began to see each other’s hearts. Mais often helped Suzanna with her projects and crafts, and Suzanna, enduring some of the hardest conditions of her life (no running water, no toilets, sleeping in tents during cold nights, and hiking in hot days) felt the worst version of herself. Mais, in turn, recognized something special in Suzanna and saw her as the most beautiful and sacrificial girl he had ever met. They both fell in love and knew it was God who had brought them together, a special connection.

Fast forward to
Fast forward across thousands of miles, long calls, tears, and many sacrifices, their engagement was not the easiest, but it was the most fruitful, a true example of God’s patient love.
Now, after a year of visa processing, Mais and Suzanna are finally together on the same continent, in the same town. They are eagerly looking forward to becoming a family and glorifying God in everything they do together.
